The Ultimate Late-Night Wegmans Snack Guide to a Healthier You

Attention all snackers! Do you, like me, struggle with the temptation of nighttime snacking?

Being a nighttime snacker has been a struggle of mine for as long as I can remember. Once the clock strikes 9, just like Prince Charming went running after Cinderella to return her shoe, I go running to the kitchen to see what snack I should grab. My snacking habits only got worse in college with late-night parties, overnight cramming sessions, and access to 2 am deliveries. However, with the support of my healthy and motivating friends, I learned how to tame my snack attacks and tried my best to redirect myself towards getting healthier alternatives for whatever I was craving. That’s when I was introduced to Wegmans, and everything changed.

People had told me how amazing Wegmans is, so I wanted to check it out for myself. It only took my first visit for me to understood the hype around it. Wegmans is life changing, let me tell you. I was hooked. From the different food aisles that accommodated almost every dietary need to the self-serving food buffets, Wegmans has become my new favorite market. Not to mention, it is also open 24/7. 

Wegmans is known to carry their own brands of snacks, in addition to snacks made by other companies. Not only are their own line of snacks cost-effective for anyone on a college-student budget, but they taste great, too. From sweet to savory, Wegmans offers a large selection of healthier versions of the typical snacks I crave. To help out my fellow snackers out there, here’s a list of my go-to, guilt-free, late-night Wegmans snacks. 

1. Olive Oil and Himalayan Salt Popcorn

For all you popcorn lovers out there, I guarantee you that the Wegmans’ Olive Oil and Himalayan Salt popcorn is the absolute BEST! It’s fluffy, crunchy, and not overpowering on the saltiness. At only 110 calories for 3 full cups, and 5 grams of fiber, your late-night munch urge will be satisfied and keep you feeling full. According to Women’s Health, “fiber-rich popcorn may help fuel the growth of serotonin-producing gut bacteria.” Serotonin is both a neurotransmitter and chemical in your body which is known to not only make you feel good, but also aids in relaxation. So, not only will you be having a low calorie filling snack, you may even get a better night’s rest! 

2.  Get Poppin’ Crispy Potato Snacks

Calling all the chip lovers! If you’re into BBQ chips or BBQ flavored Pringles, the BBQ flavored Get Poppin’ Crispy Potato Snacks are for you. Not only do these pop chips hit the savory spot, but they are crunchy, light, and bursting with that smokey yet sweet BBQ flavor. Not to mention, the serving size is 24 chips for only 110 calories. It can’t get any better than that for a late-night snack.

3. Get Wild Crunchy Rice Chips-Chipotle Lime

The second chip is for lime lovers. Are you a fan of Tostitos Hint Of Lime tortilla chips? If so, the Get Wild Crunchy Rice Chips-Chipotle Lime flavor, will truly make your taste buds wild. Although the chipotle aspect is a bit lacking due to the somewhat overpowering lime flavor, it’s still a great go-to snack. They are crunchy, flavorful, and the chips don’t skimp on size.

4. Thin & Crispy Wheat Crackers

For those who like crackers, I suggest you try out the Wegmans’ Thin & Crispy Wheat Crackers. They are crunchy, tasty, and at $2 a box, a great deal. This late-night Wegmans snack will leave you satisfied and glad you made a healthier choice. 

5. Roasted and Sea Salted Seaweed Snack

I know snacking on seaweed has become a big hit recently. At only 30 calories a package, if you are looking for a light healthy crunch, Wegmans’ Roasted and Sea Salted Seaweed Snack is your best bet. Plus, there is a decent amount of seaweed in each pack to keep you full, making for the perfect late-night snack. 

6. Organic Animal Cookies

For those who prefer cookies, I’ve got you covered! The Wegmans’ Organic Animal Cookies are not overwhelmingly sweet, but just sweet enough to tame your sweet tooth at 2 in the morning. They’re also perfectly crunchy. The shapes of the cookies leave a little to be desired, but the cookie taste itself makes up for the lack of design.

7. 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate Bar

If you have a soft spot in your heart for snacking on chocolate, this is a product you need to try. The Wegmans’ 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate Bar is absolutely divine. It’s wrapped in a gold wrapper so you feel like you just won the golden ticket to the chocolate factory. This bar is creamy, rich, flavorful, and not too bitter for a 72% chocolate bar. For its quality, it’s so worth $2 for a bar.
