All of the Different Types of Pretzels You Can Eat for National Pretzel Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Syracuse chapter.

Pretzels are the perfect snack. It is underrated how many different variations there are. If you’re craving something salty, or even if you have a sweet tooth, there is no doubt pretzels will satisfy your cravings! They are a fun bite to enjoy at a game or the fair, but they are also a great late night snack. They can be dipped in anything and come in so many different shapes. Here is a guide to all of the different types of pretzels, so that you don’t miss out on National Pretzel Day.

Pretzel nuggets are a classic. They are by far the saltiest and crunchiest pretzel shape! They are bite size, so they are a perfect on-the-go snack.

Basic Twists

The most basic of all pretzel shapes. These are perfect for dipping whether it be hummus, peanut butter, or Nutella!

Big Soft Pretzels

Easily everyone’s favorite pretzel. Soft pretzels are a stadium classic! Cinnamon sugar soft pretzels are my personal favorite. If you have a savory craving, mustard or cheese is the perfect sidekick!

Peanut Butter Filled

Peanut butter filled pretzels are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. You get the mix of peanut butter and pretzel but with no effort required. Amazing.

Soft Pretzel Nuggets

The duo of all duos, cinnamon sugar soft pretzel nuggets and icing. They truly melt in your mouth. Original pretzel nuggets are great as well! The best place to get these is Auntie Anne’s.

Pretzel Crisps

Such a versatile pretzel. Crisps double as a pretzel AND a chip! Although they are still a pretzel, they are a lighter alternative. Best of all, they come in so many different flavors such as everything, original, garlic parmesan, buffalo wing, and sea salt & cracked pepper.

Pretzels really are such a great snack and are so versatile. I am definitely inspired to indulge on National Pretzel Day. I’m just not sure which kind to choose!
