Homecoming Rally and Carnival

Oct. 16 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Location: McCarthy Quad

Description:

“Come celebrate USC Homecoming next Thursday (Oct. 16th) with USC Program Board’s 14 Committees and Assemblies right in McCarthy Quad. Let’s get pumped to beat the Buffalos on Saturday!

What to expect: FREE Food, LIVE musical performances, a tie dye station, contests, bungee jumping, pedal-powered stage, and so much more. Check out what each assembly/committee is contributing!

– Rally with the Trojan Marching Band starts promptly at 7pm on the Quad!
Blu_Noise starts their set at 7:30pm
– Food Eating contest starts at 7:30pm, 4 winners will receive big Amazon giftcards! More details to come.
Rock the Bike Spin Class at 8:30pm

Pass the Can 2014

Oct. 18

Serving: Free Yogurtland if you volunteer

Description:

“Help change the lives of inner city youth by showing your support for USC Troy Camp! Sign up at troycamp.org to volunteer for Pass the Can 2014. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt, free yogurt land, and free access to the game!”

Beyond Books

Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Location: Mudd Hall

Serving: Free dinner

Description:

“This event places some of USC’s most revered faculty in a casual setting with students so that they may discuss research and explore academic interests in a no-pressure atmosphere, all over a free catered dinner! Academic Culture Assembly firmly believes that the academic culture of this University thrives on the discussions that go on everyday and this event is meant to encourage conversations outside of the classroom.

This year, Beyond Books will take place on Tuesday, October 14 at the Mudd Hall Courtyard! Registration and networking begins at 6:30pm with dinner beginning at 7pm sharp. Attire is business casual for all in attendance. RSVP by October 10th at midnight to ensure that you are seated at a table with a professor of your research or academic interests.

No pressure or preparation is necessary, just come and be yourself (and maybe leave with a research position)!

Zero Waste Tailgate

Location: SOS Lawn

Serving: Smoothies

Description:

“Continue the Homecoming festivities with ESA before the Homecoming game this Saturday 10/18!! We have joined up with the Office of Sustainability to bring you a zero waste tailgate where we will be giving away great prizes for recycling solo cups and the blender bike will be on hand to make delicious smoothies.

Our tailgate will be on the SOS lawn right next to McCarthy Quad so stop by and say hi during tailgating and learn how YOU can be more sustainable at tailgates!”
