All the Vegan Girl Scout Cookies You Should Know About

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UGA chapter.

As kids, we’re taught to never answer the door when someone knocks. To this day, I still follow that rule, unless I know it’s Girl Scout Cookie season. This is the only time of the year when I want someone to harass me constantly until I answer because there’s no way I’m getting deprived of cookies. With all the different options to choose from, thankfully there are some vegan Girl Scout Cookies that are dairy-free and delicious. Here are all the vegan Girl Scout Cookies you can get your hands on right now.

Thin Mints

Thin Mints are arguably one of the most recognizable Girl Scout Cookies of all time. With a crispy chocolate cookie coated in mint chocolate, it’s a simple cookie with a punch of flavor. Not to mention that these taste even better when you put them in the freezer for a few hours. The cold mint cookie gives you a brand new sensation that you’ll love.

#SpoonTip: You can make your own Thin Mints with just three ingredients.

Peanut Butter Patties

Peanut Butter Patties, also known as Tagalongs, are dangerously delicious with their shortbread cookie covered in peanut butter and chocolate. However, if you’re looking for a vegan Girl Scout Cookie, make sure to get Peanut Butter Patties made by ABC Bakers (which can be found on the box), and not Tagalongs since Tagalongs contain milk, and Peanut Butter Patties don’t.

Girl Scout S’mores

Gather around the campfire for this vegan Girl Scout Cookie, the Girl Scout S’more. Considering it’s still cold and snowy outside, I would love to have a mini escape and eat a s’mores cookie to make me think it’s summer. There are two different s’mores cookies, so make sure to get the one pictured to the right, not the sandwich, if you want the vegan option.

Thanks-A-Lots

I would like to thank the Girl Scouts a lot for making these tasty cookies. I already love a classic shortbread cookie, so the fact that this cookie goes a step further with the fudge on the bottom gets them some brownie points in my book. Get it? Because Girl Scouts in second and third grade are called Brownies! I love being a former Girl Scout, even if people don’t get my references.

Lemonades

Last but not least for vegan Girl Scout Cookies, we have sweet Lemonades that will cool you off on your trek to the other side of campus. If you want to eat some Girl Scout Cookies on your way to class, but don’t want a melted chocolate mess on your fingers, these Lemonades are chocolate-free, meaning they’re perfect no matter how hot it gets.

These are five great vegan Girl Scout cookie options to choose from if you want a snack that fits your diet. I don’t want to influence you or anything, but all I’m saying is that frozen Thin Mints are the way to go. Just be careful because these cookies will be even more addictive than before.
