3 New Starbucks Drinks Are Coming to the Menu For Spring

Spring is coming, and you know what that means… New Starbucks drinks! I bet you thought I was going to say warmer weather. I mean, that too. But at this point, Starbucks releasing new drinks is more predictable that whether or not it’s going to be 70 degrees in NYC today. The coffee chain is specifically launching three new drinks for the upcoming season, and while each is available iced or hot, I recommend you go for iced. It will keep you cool as you put away your parkas and pull out those jean jackets.

First up is the Hazelnut Mocha Coconutmilk Macchiato. Say that three times fast! It comes with steamed Sumatran coconutmilk combined with hazelnut syrup, espresso, and a mocha drizzle. I love a good drizzle!

Yoke Wong, Senior Manager of the Starbucks Beverage Development team, said in a statement that baristas first pour the steamed milk and then add the espresso in a macchiato. “The result is a coffee-forward flavor with beautiful layers,” she said.

This one Starbuck’s calls this one “Horchata-inspired.” Horchata is a “milky” Mexican drink made from rice and seasoned with cinnamon and sugar. The Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato combines espresso, almondmilk, and cinnamon dolce syrup, topped with caramel drizzle and cinnamon dolce topping.

#SpoonTip: Skip the caramel drizzle to keep this one completely dairy-free.

Grande Iced Blonde Quad Caffe Americano

This new drink isn’t really new per se. However, it features the newer blonde espresso front and center, combining an extra shot of it with water. This will definitely serve as a good morning wake up call, or post-lunch pick me up.

You can start adding these drinks to your Starbucks rotation this week. Personally, I’m more looking forward to this than to the spring cleaning I have to do in my closet.
