Yummly: The Second Best Website for College Foodies

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Rochester chapter.

Yummly is basically the match.com for food. On this website you can input anything from ingredients that you want included in a recipe to the amount of time needed to cook. Say you want to make a chicken dish with mushrooms, but you only have one hour. VOILA, Yummly will generate the perfect recipe match catered to your every desire. You can also input taste preferences, dietary restrictions and techniques that you want to use when cooking. How did this glorious website get started you may ask? Well the answer is mustard. Yummly creator, Dave Fellor, realized he “couldn’t find a way to search for recipes and exclude anything with mustard.” Watch and see how Yummly generates the perfect food match.

Leah Schwartz

Rochester '17

There are two kinds of people in this world, those that eat to live and those that live to eat. Leah Schwartz lives to eat. If you're looking for her you can find her in the cheese aisle at Wegmans.
