10 Food Vendors You Have to Try at ACL This Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Texas chapter.

ACL is filled with amazing music and food. Here’s the run down on some of the best spots to fill up at during the festival. Consider this your ACL food lineup.

1. P. Terry’s Burger Stand

Quality is this what this burger stand prioritizes. Their all-natural burgers are best paired with fries made from Idaho potatoes fresh from the farm.

2. Micklethwait Craft Meats

Good Texas BBQ is found all over the place in Austin. Micklethwait Craft Meats is on The top 50 Barbecue joints in Texas. Like most amazing Texas barbecue joints, this place runs out of food early, so make sure to grab some ASAP.

3. Bananarchy

These frozen bananas will help you cool off from the Texas heat. With so many sweet topping options, Bananarchy will make you go bananas.

4. Burro Grilled Cheese

It’s time to get cheesy! At Burro Grilled Cheese, you’ll find artisan grilled cheese sandwiches made with good bread, cheese and made-from-scratch sauces like fig or almond pesto aioli.

5. Torchy’s Tacos

It wouldn’t be a trip to Austin without one of these famous tacos! Torchy’s is an Austin original but has grown all over Texas and has even made it out to Oklahoma. Their queso is the ultimate best chips and dip.

6. Mighty Cone

The Mighty Cone was designed specifically for Austin City Limits to create the perfect festival food, and it was so successful that they now offer it all year long out of a food truck near Zilker Park

7. Chi’lantro

Chi’lantro is known for their famous kimchi fries. This Austin Korean BBQ spot is the a healthier, Asian-inspired alternative to Chipotle.

8. Juice Land

Juice Land has been serving up fresh fruit concoctions since 2001. This fun juice shop gives you a perfect healthy boost and keeps the health of the environment in mind.

9. Shake Shack

This New York original has made its way down to Texas. Burgers like these are great festival food because the paper bag keeps it clean and holds in all the goodies.

10. Tiff’s Treats

This Austin shop specializes in cookie delivery with chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and everything in between. These sweet treats will be a perfect way to end a night of good music

I like food and taking pictures of food.
