Wine Riot is Coming to Boston, and Every Wine Novice Needs to Attend

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at BU chapter.

Sitting down at a restaurant, a wine menu can seem daunting. So many choices, so many potential wrong decisions. Picking the right wine can be confusing a novice, but Wine Riot is there to help.

During their four hour event, guests are assisted in exploring their palates and different wine regions. Wine Riot aims to evoke curiosity and taste buds while leaving guests more informed about wine.

The educational, yet boozy, events are separated into various sessions.

Crash Courses

Quick, 20-minute sit-down seminars aim to teach guests about certain brands.

Bubbly Bar

Guests can taste one of each kind of sparkling wine including Cava, Prosecco, American Sparkling, Rose, Cremant, Sekt, and Champagne. The Bubbly Bar will also include food this year.

Wine 101

Learn new wine terminology and impress your friends next time you’re out to dinner. After Wine 101, you’ll be able to define dry vs. sweet; old world vs. new world; young vs. mature; and oaked vs. unoaked.

Get your tickets before they’re gone.

Wine Riot will be at The Castle at Park Plaza on April 21st from 7-11 PM; Saturday April 22 from 1-5 PM and 7-11 PM.  Get your tickets here
