Dunkin’ Bottled Iced Coffees are Now a Thing

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Emory chapter.

For a while now, Starbucks iced frappes have been available in stores. Dunkin’ Donuts finally hopped on the bandwagon and are now selling bottled iced coffees. Dunkin’ announced the launch on National Coffee Day in September, and they hit the stores in February.

What are they?

The drinks are made according to Dunkin’ Donuts’ specifications, mixing high-quality Arabica coffee blends with real milk and sugar. The four flavors to choose from are Original, Mocha, Espresso and French Vanilla.

The Coca-Cola Company manufactures, distributes, and sells the bottles. This launch marks Dunkin’ Donuts’ first entry into the ready-to-drink coffee category, strengthening its position as a coffee authority.

The Taste-Test

I tried the Original, whose flavor is described as a “rich, smooth coffee taste.” Personally, I think the flavor is a little too milky, and the major downside is that they contain a ridiculous amount of sugar. But, they’re perfect for the days I don’t feel like walking across campus to get a cup of coffee.

Now, the decision to choose between Dunkin and Starbucks extends to the supermarket—Starbucks has been selling pre-made iced coffee and frappuccinos for a few years now. But, if you like your coffee black, these are not for you!
