Which came first: the chicken or the egg? Honestly, no one cares anymore. The real question I should be asking is: coffee or tea?
Some people can’t start their day without coffee, while others can’t end theirs without tea. For me, it’s the latter. Unfortunately, my tea choices have always been limited to green tea and chamomile. I personally don’t have the time to be adventurous when it comes to tea. But come 2017, I’m ready to spice up my tea game with these 5 unique tea flavors and blends from Sencha.
Matcha
Matcha is a powdered form of green tea that’s jam-packed with antioxidants, vitamins and amino acids. I am very familiar with matcha, which is a stronger and better version of green tea. To some, this might be the first time you’ve heard of it. It has a vibrant green color and a strong flavor. The best part: it’s highly caffeinated, so it can replace your cup of joe!
Smart Tart
This blend of green tea and hibiscus isn’t only delicious, but is also rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. This helps with an array of health benefits, like reducing weight and aiding in digestion. Hibiscus tea itself is also known to help lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
Fellini’s Folly
This herbal tea has all sorts of goodness in it: rooibos, peppermint, licorice, star anise, golden raisins, and orange zest! It contains 0% caffeine, so it definitely won’t keep you awake at night. Similar to chamomile, the peppermint in this tea has a calming effect that will soothe you when you’re all stressed out.
Ginseng Berry
Ginseng berry, a herbal tea, contains ginseng and raspberries, along with a list of other healthy ingredients. It’s also caffeine-free! If you’re feeling tense, the ginseng in this tea helps alleviate stress. It also aids in sexual health and boosts your immune system. No more sick days? Count me in.
Guayusa Amazon Spice
Truth be told, guayusa is not related to the tea plant; it’s a leaf that’s brewed the same way as how you would brew a cup of tea. Sencha’s Amazonian blend of guayusa, lemongrass and cinnamon gives off an aromatic smell that will lift your spirits up.
If you’re sick of green tea, try Guayusa because it has a high caffeine content and twice as much antioxidants as green tea.
All this tea talk is making me thirsty. If you’re interested in trying these fantastic flavors, I recommend that you go to your nearest Sencha Tea Bar outlet. Some good news for my fellow Badgers: you can get a free 16oz cup from Sencha this Thursday, February 9th if you take part in our The Perfect Week event.
