Godiva makes some of the best chocolates in the world, period, end of story. Though they have hundreds of stores worldwide, the quality of their chocolate is always high and their treats never fail to impress. Having received Godiva chocolates for Valentine’s Day before, I thought I’d compile a list of the best goodies you should buy your Valentine this year.
Whether you’re looking to treat your bae, your parents, or yourself, these Godiva goodies are sure to impress.
1. Dark Decadence Chocolate Truffle Flight ($17)
My mom sent me a few of Godiva’s truffle flights my first year in college, and it was the best Valentine’s Day surprise. Every truffle in this box has a totally unique flavor (the ‘Chocolate Lava Cake’ is my favorite), and the truffles are absolutely massive.
2. Assorted Chocolate Gold Gift Box ($16)
This box is the perfect way to say “Happy Valentine’s Day” without being too obnoxious about it. An assorted box of chocolates is especially safe to give as a gift if you don’t know which type of chocolate your Valentine prefers. Consider this a way to get to know them better!
3. Set of 2 Milk Chocolate Baking Chocolates ($20)
The romantic in me loves getting a box of chocolates on V-Day, but the practical side of me also appreciates receiving high-quality baking chocolate. If you want to make these baking chocolates extra special, include them in a DIY gift box with a few other choice ingredients so you and your Valentine can make cookies together.
4. 6-piece Dark Chocolate Cherry Cordials + “I Love Us” Tray ($24)
Next to truffles, gourmet cherry cordials are one of the nicest gifts you can give. Cordials take a lot of time to make, so splurging on a box of higher quality ones is the way to go. The “I Love Us” tray in this set is another cute but practical gift to give, and it will ensure your Valentine thinks of you every time he or she uses it.
5. Chocolate Biscuit Tin ($40)
Godiva’s chocolate-covered biscuits are easily one of their most underrated desserts. While their chocolate truffles definitely deserve their moment in the spotlight, the biscuits are equally decadent. This biscuit box is perfect for the adventurous Valentine who enjoys trying new things.
6. 9-piece Slices of Love Round Chocolate Box ($30)
This box of chocolates is about as cute a Valentine’s Day gift as you’ll ever find. The chocolates are all inspired by cake recipes around the world, and include flavors like strawberry shortcake and dark chocolate Sacher Torte. See if you can guess the cake flavors without looking at the info card included in the box of chocolates!
7. Chocolate Gift Box with Plush Bear ($65)
I know it’s super cliche to give a teddy bear at Valentine’s Day, but I’m a sucker for these things. Consider the giant box of chocolates your apology for being so cheesy—I’m sure your Valentine won’t mind.
8. Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa Canister ($15)
Gourmet hot chocolate is one of those things you’d never buy for yourself, which is why receiving it as a gift feels so special. Your Valentine will be able to drink their hot chocolate straight or could incorporate the hot chocolate mix into cookie and cake recipes.
9. Half Dozen Milk Chocolate-Covered Strawberries ($42)
Add in a bouquet of your Valentine’s favorite flowers, and you have the perfect no-fuss gift. Include a bottle of wine to enjoy the strawberries with and you’ll go down as the best Valentine in history.
10. Satin Embroidered Heart Chocolate Gift Box ($50-100)
This wouldn’t be a list of the best Godiva Valentine’s Day treats without this beauty. From the satin heart-shaped box to the sheer volume of chocolates inside, this gift box is the mother of all Valentine’s gifts.
Although I won’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a significant other, I’ll certainly keep these Godiva treats on my wish list (mom, take note). Godiva chocolates are delicious no matter what time of year you purchase them, but there’s something special about giving them as a Valentine’s Day present.
