Ritter Sport Just Came Out With Unicorn Chocolate and the Internet Is Going Crazy

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Denison chapter.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Ritter Sport chocolates, but their latest addition to the already A-team lineup has me obsessed. Ritter Sport’s newest flavor is called Unicorn Chocolate and described as “white chocolate with a yogurt and raspberry-cassis rainbow” and a nice edible glitter finish to tie it all up. Holy YUM.

I mean, combine amazing ingredients and make it unicorn-themed? That’s an obvious slam dunk, and I’m not the only one who thinks that.

Ritter Sport wanted to keep this flavor exclusive and mysterious, so they only distributed about 50 bars and sold them only in the United Kingdom. Yep, I know what you’re thinking—my unicorn dreams were crushed too. Likewise, this made the people go INSANE. I mean, c’mon, it must be some sort of crime to dangle such a beautiful chocolate before our eyes, that we can’t even get our hands on?!

However, for a few lucky few, they were able snag a bar. And they’re claiming that these magical bars are worthy of a nice, joyful, ugly cry… I’m raging of jealousy.

For those unlucky ones like me, there is an option to bid your way to unicorn delight. Buyers on eBay are bidding hundreds of dollars to get their hands on this sparkly treat, and there’s no sign of that bidding war coming to a close anytime soon.

Now, although I do wish I could be chowing down on a nice piece of this unicorn treat right now, $100 for a chocolate bar smaller than my iPhone 7 plus seems a little much, am I right?

Although my dreams have been close to crushed due to this treat being sold out world-wide, I’m hoping the chocolate gods will play a miracle and bring this pink treat to the states (and hopefully in mass quantity). Fingers crossed that this treat is peaking out of my stocking Christmas morning.
