To quote the LA Times’ The Taste: “Labor Day Weekend just got tastier.”
Do your stomach a favor and cancel all your weak sauce BBQ plans for this labor day weekend, instead just head directly to Paramount Movie Studios. There you will find amazing dishes with locally sourced ingredients created by the best of the best of California’s chefs.
The LA Times’ The Taste will feature 5 must see must eat events over the course of 3 days and each day is set up to be perfectly timed so guests can participate in every event.
Friday, Sept. 2 is Opening Night where Noelle Carter, Jenn Harris, Jonathan Gold, and Amy Scattergood will host a three-hour event that starts at 7:30 pm. You will be treated to a variety of special dishes and wines.
Saturday, Sept. 3 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm will be an event called Field to Fork. Hosted by Amy Scattergood and Michael Cimarusti from Providence and Connie & Ted’s, guests will taste dishes from some of LA’s most talented chefs as they demonstrate and share their culinary points of view by creating dishes from locally-sourced ingredients.
Saturday evening from 7:30 to 10:30 pm is the Dinner with a Twist event. The event is hosted by Jonathan Gold, Jenn Harris, Ray Garcia, and Michael Lay. Guests will really get to experience how the right wine or spirit can truly make a meal extraordinary.
Sunday Sept 4 is the Block Party hosted by Noelle Carter and Border Grill’s Mary Sue Milliken from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The best chefs and bartenders in Los Angeles will serve up pure magic on a studio back lot.
On Sunday evening from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm the Flavors of LA event will take place on the Paramount Studios lot. The hosts for this event are Jonathan Gold and Kris Yenbamroong.
I personally can not wait to see what new culinary masterpieces the chefs will create with locally sources ingredients. Plus I can’t wait to learn from the Jonathan Gold all about Sustainable Uses for Food Waste.
Can’t wait either? Get your tickets here and now while you still can.
