10 Foods You Never Dip in Chocolate, But Should

Just when you think that you’ve dipped everything you ever could into chocolate, some new food comes around and revolutionizes the way you eat the sweet stuff. These 10 foods that are must-tries in the world of melted chocolate—white, milk, dark, whichever you crave most.

However be warned, they are all incredibly addictive.

At this point, potato chips dipped in chocolate are becoming quite commonplace. But if you live under a rock and haven’t yet tried this treat—easily made with a bag of chips and some melted chocolate—you’re missing out.

2. Edamame

What happens when you take this traditional Japanese snack and dip it in chocolate? You get a crunchy and subtly salty treat. Just make sure that the edamame is dry roasted, not steamed.

3. Bacon

Everyone’s favorite breakfast food is now a dessert. Of course bacon and chocolate combinations are taking the food world by storm—just look at that chocolate bacon donut.

4. Mushrooms

Truffles have two meanings in the food world: there is the elusive and rare mushroom, and then there is the sweet chocolate treat. But combine the two and you produce something special. Mushrooms have a subtle, earthy taste that pairs nicely with chocolate. Give it a try.

5. Granola Bar

Granola bars paired with chocolate might not come as much of a surprise, but I urge you all to try dipping a granola bar in chocolate yourself. Store-bought bars just don’t compare to those freshly covered in melted chocolate.

6. Oranges

Move over strawberries, oranges are the newest fruits to be paired with chocolate! Try this juicy fruit dipped in white, milk, or dark chocolate for a refreshingly sweet treat.

7. Candied Ginger

Candied ginger has a unique taste. It’s sweet yet has a distinct spice. Add some sweet, bitter chocolate and you get a jam packed mouthful of flavor.

8. Goldfish

Your favorite childhood snack just got even more fun to eat. Dip gold fish into chocolate before having them swim into your mouth. Sweet and salty delight!

9. Cheez-its

Two of the best foods created (in my opinion) are chocolate and cheese. By taking Cheez-its and mixing them in with some chocolate, the ultimate super food is created! Crunchy, sweet, and salty snacks perfect for on-the-go!

10. Pita Chips
