You Could Get Free Ben and Jerry’s in August If You Live in Texas

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UCF chapter.

In April, Ben and Jerry’s began their Texas Churned Tour, attending events such as Earth Day Texas, Houston Pride, and Float Fest. At each stop, the company dishes out free ice cream and urges attendees to register to vote in this year’s election.

The final stop will be the Austin Ice Cream Festival on August 13th. The annual event features ice cream vendors, contests, live entertainment, and, for those who have Twitter, free Ben and Jerry’s.

By tweeting the company at @BenJerrysTexas, fans can receive free scoops of flavors like Empower Mint, Bourbon Pecan, non-dairy Coffee Caramel Fudge, Spectacular Speculoos Cookie Core, and more.

Can’t make it to the event but still want free dessert? Send a tweet anytime between now and August 13th and the Texas Churned Tour ice cream truck just might visit you. It worked for students at Trinity University and staff members at KVUE Austin – all it took was one tweet, and the truck showed up.

I don’t know about you, but we were sold at “ice cream.” But to make it free? Even better. Happy tweeting.
