Recently, while trying to figure out what perfume to buy next, I stumbled across Demeter. They feature a line of single note scents that allows you to mix-and-match to create your own fragrance through layering. They have almost everything you could imagine. And let me tell you, this is not your average fragrance company.
Many of their scents are commonly used in other perfumes, such as cherry blossom, lavender, and sweet pea. Sounds pretty standard, right? However, if you look at their fragrance catalog you will find scents that you didn’t even know were possible. You can find anything from tomato seeds to rye bread, but that isn’t even the half of it. They even have your favorite foods and cocktails. Here are some of the most interesting food and drink scents that I found:
Hot Fudge Sundae

Warm fudge drizzled over cool chocolate ice cream. I would assume you would smell mostly like chocolate, which is definitely not a problem in my book.
Lobster

The favorite crustacean of many. Spray yourself with this, take a bath in butter and you will be on the right track.
Pizza

The classic cheese pizza. You might even make the Domino’s delivery guy jealous.
Sushi

I’m curious as to which roll they chose as the base of the scent. Spicy Tuna? Vegetable? California?
White Russian

Kahlua, milk, and vodka. With this scent, you can pretty much just smell like an adult chocolate milk all day, everyday.
Fuzzy Navel

Smells so good you might even want to take a sip, but I really wouldn’t if I were you.
Demeter doesn’t just stop with food and drinks. They have found a way to capture the scent of a moonbeam, a steam room, a new baby, and even a zombie. Although many of their scents may be strange, their goal is to capture smells that make people happy. Smell is one of the strongest triggers of an emotional response, so they aim to capture those moments and allow you to use them as self expression. Like I said, they aren’t your average fragrance company — they might even be better. Who wouldn’t want to have a pizza scented bottle of perfume to spray around the room when they’re feeling down? Now, I’m just waiting for them to come out with a taco scent…
