5 Must-Eat Treats at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival

Eat around the world and satisfy your sweet tooth with some of the tastiest treats at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival this season. Unique from the Food and wine Festival in the fall, this event showcases a mix of spring time flavors with luscious floral topiaries scattered around the theme park. Here are the top five treats that you must try at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival.

1. Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade (Non-Alcoholic)

Located in Pineapple Promenade, this delicious slushy is vibrantly purple with a hint of floral flavors hiding behind a punch of sweet lemonade. It’s a refreshing treat and perfect to sip on as you enjoy finding the beautiful topiaries scattered around the World Showcase. The violet lemonade is even topped with an edible flower.

2. Armer Ritter

This egg battered toast come topped with heaping portion of cherry compote and powdered sugar. The toast and cherries create a delightful combination of savory and sweet. The armer ritter can be found in Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market- Germany.

3. Beijing-style Candied Strawberries

These sugar-coated strawberries are served on a skewer at the Lotus House booth in China and topped with sesame seeds. The hard candy shell is easy to bite into and the strawberries are always at peak freshness.

4. Frushi

This fruity take on sushi includes a mix of fresh pineapple, strawberry and melon all rolled up in raspberry coconut rice.  Frushi can be found at Hanami in Japan. It’s served with a dollop of whipped cream on the side and a drizzling of raspberry sauce.

5. Macaron Chocolat Framboise

Found at Fleur de Lys in France, this large raspberry cake is sandwiched around a savory chocolate and raspberry sauce filling.  The dark chocolate has a rich flavor and the raspberry adds an extra touch of sweetness.

These dishes and drinks all are priced around $3 to $6. The Flower and Garden Festival takes place at Disney’s EPCOT from March 2- May 30, 2016. Head to EPCOT while this event is going on and enjoy some delectable snacks around the world.
