How to Easily Peel Garlic in Seconds

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Northwestern chapter.

Let’s face it: nobody has time to peel each clove of garlic individually. Plus, you can get a little anger out doing it this way. Kill two birds with one stone.

Step 1: Smash that garlic.

Place the garlic on a flat surface, and with the heel of your hand, give it a good smash.

Step 2: Scoop it into a bowl.

Wrangle up those loose cloves, put them into a bowl, then cover with another bowl.

Step 3: Shakey shakey.

Shake the bowls around for 30 seconds or so (don’t be afraid to get feisty).

Step 4: Naked cloves.

No need to peel these babies.
