What You Can Get From 7-Eleven for Under $6 After a Night Out

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Pace Westchester chapter.

Drunk and hungry after a night out? Walking back from the local bar with less than six dollars in your wallet? Here is a list of some foods that should stop your late night cravings. Prices may vary depending on where you’re at but overall they are super cheap. The ones listed include tax and were bought in New York.

Pizza

The true best friend that all college students have – pizza. 7-Eleven’s pizza will be your life-saver when the closest Dominoes or local pizza spot is closed. Most 7-Elevens offer the choices of either cheese or pepperoni. You can get a slice for only $1.07. Although you can only buy it by the whole pie after 10 pm, it is still a great deal for only $5.91. You can choose to share it with a bunch of your hangry friends. Or not.

Nachos and Cheese

Who doesn’t like corn chips drenched in cheese, chili, or jalapeños? 7-Eleven offers free toppings for every box of nachos you buy. Next time you are craving something spicy and cheesy, you know what to get for $3.28. You can even make your own version of nachos at home in under 5 minutes.

Melts

Take your Hotpocket up a notch with this cheesy sammy. You can choose to eat it cold or ask the store associates to heat it up for you. Choices range from Italian, Steak and Cheese, and Chicken Bacon Ranch melts. Keeping up with the Kardashians likes of McDonalds and Taco Bell is the newly introduced breakfast melts. You can choose from the Bacon, Egg and Cheese melt and the Sausage, Bacon and Cheese melt starting at $2.99.

Hot Dogs

Do I even need to explain the beauty of hot dogs? 7-Eleven offers a condiment section for you to customize your dog. They offer the Big Bite which is the normal-sized hot dog, and the Quarter-pound which is the bigger version. Hot dogs cost $1.60 and $2.46 for two while the Quarter-pound cost $2.14. The American dream in reality.

Taquitos

These are heaven rolled up in a tortilla. There are different fillings such as Monterey Jack Chicken (my favorite), Taco and Cheese, and Buffalo Cheese. For only $1.60, you can get one and for $2.46 you can get two.

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Fried cheesiness – with marinara sauce – what? Yup, you read that right. 7-Eleven offers mozzarella cheese sticks. Although a lot of stores do not put them out on display late at night, store associates will be more than happy to heat some up for you if you ask them nicely. For $1.60, you can’t go wrong with four of these little guys. Or if you’re feeling adventurous try to make your own.

Doughnuts

While 7-Eleven does not offer a huge variety like your local Dunkin’ Donuts, there are still enough options to satisfy your cravings. Choose from sprinkles, chocolate frosted, glazed and even Boston cream doughnuts. These delicious doughnuts are only $0.99 each.

So with $11.78, you can get a “4-course meal” which includes cheesy nachos, taquitos, a whole pie and a doughnut. Next time you’re hungry and only have a $20, you know where to go.
