If you’re a college student, you know that it’s hard sometimes to find decent food at an affordable price. Luckily for all of my Mexican food lovers, I’ve found the answer to your low-budget prayers and delicious food cravings. If you haven’t heard of Burrito Boarder, I encourage you to try this place as soon as possible. It’s an authentic fresh Mexican restaurant designed with a beachy culture and an interactive environment in mind, which strives to give customers the best possible experience. As if this place didn’t already sound amazing enough from that mini brief overview, I’m going to allow you to experience a few thoughts I had the first time I walked into Burrito Boarder.
1. Are those skateboards?!
Maybe I’m weird but I was completely blown away by the fact that the chairs were made out of skateboards. It made my time there more enjoyable, and I felt like I was in the middle of a movie. In addition to the skateboards, there was upbeat music, and waves painted on the walls, making me feel like I was basically at the boardwalk by the beach. Could this place get any better?
2. Wow, I actually get to choose the kind of chicken I want?
This sounds like a minor thought, but unfortunately it’s not. Places like Chipotle and Moe’s never allowed me to pick the kind of chicken that I want, while Burrito Boarder is the complete opposite. They offer They offer pulled chicken, grilled chicken, and more. Baja grilled fish is on the menu as well for all you seafood lovers out there
3. This is pretty cheap
That statement probably caught your attention. But seriously, the prices were absolutely phenomenal for a student who’s always looking for a good deal on food. I ordered a chicken bowl with guac, queso, beans, veggies, cheese and sour cream, and the total only came out to eight bucks. Need I say more?
4. The portions are huge!
If you think Chipotle gave you a lot of food, , I encourage you to come in and see how much food Burrito Boarder gives you. One bowl there allowed me to take home leftovers, which lasted me two more meals, and even though I wasn’t stuffed, I was completely satisfied.
5. Would it be weird if I came back again tomorrow?
Yeah, I was pretty obsessed with this delicious food. So much so that I was already daydreaming about eating here again for lunch the next day. If you’re ever driving down Pensacola Street, I suggest that you turn into this establishment and try this amazing gem.
