New to wine and don’t know where to start? WineStyles’ free tastings are the perfect place for any novice to explore the world of grapey goodness. And even if you’re a connoisseur – certified or self-proclaimed – wine tasting is a great way to expand and sharpen your palette.
WineStyles holds two wine tastings each week, free of charge. After entering the store in the heart of Evanston, each participant receives a glass from the front counter. A staff member will fill the glass with the first wine of the night and offer information on its origin and background. Throughout the tasting, three glasses are offered, and each guest may sip at his or her own speed for a more personal experience.
Typically, a combination of red and white are offered at each tasting. The sampled bottles are always available in store, and the friendly staff will answer any questions about them or wine in general. With hundreds of wines available at the shop, the tasting is one of the best ways to pinpoint which flavors are best for each individual palette.
Post tasting, feel free to match your favorite flavors to a variety of bottles Live Sex in stock. Unlike other stores that organize wine by origin, WineStyles sorts its products by flavor – crisp, nectar, rich, etc. – to make it easier for consumers to pick their poison. They even include signs next to the racks stating the flavor characteristics of the wine as well as suggested food pairings.
Beyond the tasting, WineStyles offers other services to better familiarize consumers to the wine world. The store has a variety of accessories, from glasses to corkscrews, that would make great gifts when presented with a bottle of wine. Gift cards are also available when you’re not sure which bottle to choose.
For additional benefits, join the Wine Club. For $34.99 per month, the club offers two bottles of highly rated wines every month with tasting notes and recipe pairings, 10-15% discounts and other exclusive VIP advantages.
Most bottles are under $25, so WineStyles is affordable for every college student. Be sure to stop by Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. to discover which flavors get your taste buds tingling.
