Dairy Queen is coming in hot this autumn with their first ever Halloween collection, plus a special chance at winning free Blizzard treats for a year.
Even though this is their first shot at releasing a Halloween collection, DQ is starting off with a bang. As a part of their Spellbound Series, they will be dropping three new limited-edition menu items starting September 28.
What’s new on the menu?
The first is their new Bubble Brew DQ Sparkler. This refreshing drink is an icy mix of lemonade, sparkling water, and blood orange to give it that crimson color. On top of that, a layer of cold foam is added to the top of the drink, a metaphorical cherry on top to complete the spooky vibe.
Their next menu item is the new Enchanted Oreo Blizzard Treat. This chilly ice cream treat starts with a base of DQ ice cream, and is then mixed with sweet ube flavoring and a beautiful purple edible shimmer. And, of course, the whole thing is blended with crunchy oreo cookies, making this just the thing to treat yourself with after a long day.
This last item is a giant step away from the creamy desserts DQ is known for. If you’re brave enough to try it, Dairy Queen is releasing a new ghost pepper dipping sauce. This sauce is touted as being fiery hot, bold, and smoky, and I don’t doubt that. Don’t worry, this isn’t for your ice cream cone. DQ recommends pairing this spicy sauce with their chicken strip basket, though I’m not judging if you decide to experiment. It’s your life and your bad decisions.

Along with their Halloween menu, Dairy Queen is also releasing a limited-edition collection of keychains called DQ Mystery Blizzard Buddies.
Meet Brrrnie, Blizabeth, Blenda, Flip, and Goldie. That’s right, each of these cute plushes have their own name and will be $4 each. However, there’s a catch. In true blind box style, you never know which blizzard buddy you’re going to pull. Sure, they’re all cute, but the one you really want is Goldie. Goldie will be a rare keychain, and if you manage to unwrap her, then you’re in for a full year of Blizzard Treats. If you don’t manage to pull her, at least you still have a cute souvenir and you can say you were at DQ’s first ever Halloween collection drop.
As a reminder, DQ’s Halloween collection will drop on September 28 and will be available through November 1. There’s a limit of 1 Blizzard Buddy per customer per transaction, so you have one month to test your luck and hopefully score a prize sweeter than ice cream.
