People Are Filling Up Pringle Cans With Chocolate & Freezing Them

TikTok has a plethora of food combinations that make us ask, why didn’t I think of that? And when we try these combinations, we either want to make more of it or we never want to see it again. Cucumber salads, Dubai chocolate, and fluffy Coke all fall into this category, But now, we have a new food combo to try — chocolate Pringles.

What are chocolate Pringles?

This trend started to gain attraction in April of this year, but @tiggamac, a content creator, posted a video in November of 2024 where she shared this combination. In the video, she removed the Pringles from the can, poured in some melted chocolate, put some of the Pringles back in, and repeated the process until the can was filled. She recently made a video on April 3 explaining how she thought of this process. “I didn’t see this anywhere, I thought of it with my brain,” she said. “I saw a Pringles packet, and I was like, sweet salty chocolate.” She made it as a treat for her friend, but, at the time no one paid attention to it — it didn’t go viral.

Although it is hard to say who revived the trend this April, the earliest video of this year is by creator @moneats0 . In the video, posted on March 26, she uses regular Pringles and five bars of milk chocolate. The next day, she posted her review, describing it as “sweet and salty, it works so well.”

Other creators follow suit like @shopocho7798 on April 5, and @tommywinkler on April 2  they both posted their own versions of the trend, getting millions of views.

How can I recreate chocolate Pringles?

All you need is your favorite chocolate and a small or large can of Pringles. Melt the chocolate, pour the chocolate inside the Pringles can with the Pringles chips inside. You can also remove the Pringles and add in the chocolate first, as @tiggamac did. Then, put the lid on and place it in the freezer overnight for best results. Once it’s fully solidified, rip the can open to access the chocolate Pringles, using a knife to slice it into smaller pieces.

Across TikTok, several influencers have put their unique twists on this trend. Creator @tommywinkler put his twist on it by making Dubai chocolate Pringles. Spanish content creator @kotaritoo also put a twist on it by using his favorite Pringles flavor, salt and vinegar, and adding coconut flakes and milk and white chocolate.

The comments on these videos where influencers show making this trend are all over the place. From some downplaying on saying it’s a “waste of time,” and “a stupid trend,” to others supporting it and saying “take my money” and “why does this look good though.”
