Here’s What To Eat During Your Harry Styles Listening Party

After four very long years, Harry Styles is giving the world his fourth studio album Disco All The Time, Kiss Occasionally. Harries everywhere — myself included — are buzzing with excitement and impatiently waiting for midnight to roll around. “Aperture” gave us a look into Harry’s latest work, and it’s rumored that the rest of the tracks follow that dancey vibe.

The best way to listen to this new album? A listening party. We’ve seen listening parties happen for all of the biggest pop artists like Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and now Harry Styles. Listening to an album is best done when it’s with your friends, bonus points if they’re fangirls like I am. You can host listening parties from anywhere — your couch, your car, or even your dorm room — as long as you have a way to listen to the music for all to hear. And what makes for a great Harry Styles listening party? Well, snacks, of course.

What foods should you have while listening to Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally

Harry is not one to shy away from a food metaphor in his music. Even his song titles include food shoutouts. This makes compiling a snack list for your listening party all the more easier. Think of it as eating through a movie, except instead of eating what’s on screen, you eat the foods Harry is seemingly always singing about.

Let’s go all the way back to HS1 to start our listening party grocery list. Kiwis are definitely meant to be eaten tonight, given the song titled “Kiwi” is track 7 on the album. With “Sweet Creature,” that means it’s time to pick a sweet treat for the occasion. My choice is going to be chocolate, but feel free to wander into the frozen aisle for some ice cream as well. Harry also mentions “glass half empty” in “Two Ghosts,” which is a nod for us all to stay hydrated with our emotional support water bottles. Thanks for looking out for our health, Harry!

Moving into Fine Line, Harry makes it very clear that more fruits need to be included in our snack rotation for the night. Watermelons and cherries are definitely on the list, with nods to “Watermelon Sugar” and “Cherries.” You could also substitute actual watermelon for Sour Patch Watermelon, if you want to include the sugar part of the song title. You can definitely add strawberries to your cart, due to their mention in “Adore You” and sunflower seeds for the track ‘Sunflower, Vol. 6.” Because the album is releasing at midnight, you might want to grab a coffee. Or you can send your assistant for some, as Harry mentions in “She.”

Harry’s House finally gives us some entrees for the night. Sushi is top of the list, following the album’s opening track “Music For A Sushi Restaurant.” Make sure you include fried rice in your order, and maybe even an egg roll or two. Coffee not your thing? Grape juice is a great alternative to pair with your fruit, going along with the track titled the same name, “Grapejuice.” Or you could go with the ginger ale from ‘Little Freak” if that’s more your style. You’re listening party could also get an early start on breakfast with pancakes and hashbrowns from “Keep Driving.” Pancakes really do go with everything.

Aside from his music, Harry has been spotted running all over the world. He recently admitted he loves to carb-up before a race with the biggest croissant he can find. If you want to include a little bit of Harry’s personal life in your shopping list, might I recommend the Trader Joe’s chocolate croissants. After eating one, I too feel like I could run a marathon.

Eating through Harry’s discography is just one of the many ways to gear yourself up for the release of Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally. I know I will be going into my listening party with an empty stomach and open ears. And I can’t wait to hear which foods make the cut onto his newest album.
