Is Chipotle’s Boorito Returning This Year?

Every year, Chipotle fans dress up in their spookiest costumes and visit their closest Chipotle to earn a discounted entree item on Halloween Night. Typically, the promo is announced at the beginning of October, but so far all we know is that an event will be going on.

We’re left wondering if the Chipotle Boorito deal is making a return for 2025?

What is the Boorito?

For the promo last year, the usual price of the bowls, burritos, salads, tacos and quesadillas was $6 if you showed up in person, in costume and were a rewards member. Unfortunately, guac and queso were still extra.

Each year, Chipotle added something else along with the meal deal which ranged from a TikTok challenge in 2019 to a BeReal challenge in 2022 and a collab with Spirit Halloween for costumes in 2024. So far, only one October promo was announced at Chipotle.

When will the promo take place?

In 2024, it ran from 3 p.m. to close on October 31 and some locations stayed open until midnight so you had more time to put your best costume on. It even went international for the first time with similar deals in France and the U.K.

Chipotle did announce that there will be an event on October 31 for the 25th anniversary of the Boorito deal, but the specifics are still unclear.

How do you get a discounted entree?

If 2025 is anything like the previous years, costumes will be required and as long as you scan your member rewards, your favorite entree will be discounted. In the past, the company hasn’t specified costume regulations and left it up to the discretion of the restaurant personnel to determine if your costume counted for the deal.

If you’re looking for costume inspiration for the event, last year the company partnered with Spirit Halloween and launched costumes based on Chipotle bowls, water cups, napkins, forks, burrito foil and takeout bags. Hopefully this year, Chipotle will restock some of these iconic outfits.

What else is going on at Chipotle?

Until then, Chipotle is running a spooky season “Chip or Treat” event with frighteningly good deals. From Oct. 6 to Oct. 30, rewards members can reminisce on trick-or-treating and receive a treat once per week with every purchase made.

That’s four weeks of deals and potentially four treats if you’re like me and get a bowl at least once per week. The treats include offers such as free guac, free chips or extra reward points among other rewards.

Chipotle is also partnering with Riot Games, a video game company, where players can play the in game “Chipotle Challenger Bundle” with Chipotle app and digital orders by using the promo “LETSDUO” at checkout. The bundle includes in game merchandise for the players’ avatars including a hoodie, sweatpants, sneakers, hat, sling, backpack and a sticker.
And for college students, Chipotle recently introduced Chipotle U rewards, where students gain 1000 bonus points for enrollment and 20% more with every purchase.
