Starbucks’ signature Pumpkin Spice Latte feels like it has been a staple my whole life, and sure enough, the seasonal drink is celebrating its 22nd birthday this year, with Starbucks showing no signs of removing it from its fall menu anytime soon.
Starbucks shines year-round as many people’s morning pick-me-up, but over all the other seasons, their fall menu is truly iconic. Like always, the signature PSL has returned to coffeehouses nationwide August 26, but that’s not all.
What else is on the Starbucks fall 2025 menu?
Introducing the new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado, which is making its Starbucks debut. For those looking to spice up their fall drink (catch the pun?), this new menu item, riding the tide of recent pecan-flavored coffee beverages, combines three shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso with notes of pecan, rich brown butter, holiday baking spices (we can’t wait until after Thanksgiving, sorry) and steamed oat milk. To top it off, the coffee is sprinkled with a delightful pecan crunch topping and served in a hot eight-ounce cup.
“The saltiness and browned butter notes combined with the toasted pecan flavors are the perfect complement to the Cortado’s bold espresso base,” said Patrick Penny, lead beverage developer for Starbucks. “When paired with creamy oat milk, the pecan balances the vibrant, rich flavor notes of Starbucks Blonde Espresso.”
With similar flavor profiles as the new cortado, the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte will return to the menu by popular demand after its debut last fall. This drink also comes in an iced version with a layer of vanilla sweet cream cold foam, perfect for the days with lingering summery temperatures.
But to get back to the main event, a whole plethora of pumpkin drinks returned to the menu Tuesday. Alongside the PSL, indulge in variations including the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai. Starbucks is quick to ensure its customers that each of these fan favorites are made with real pumpkin. Take it from farmer Jeff Leber, who shared his secret to growing the vital ingredient — “we talk sweet to them.”
Alongside your beverage of choice, Starbucks is offering plenty of food pick-me-ups to perfectly complement the fall season. Returning options include the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Racoon Cake Pop, but wait — Starbucks is also debuting a new Italian Sausage Egg Bite.
These bites burst with flavors of Italian sausage, sundried tomato pesto, basil and Monterey jack cheese. The result? A creamy, velvety bite that melts in your mouth.
If you’re based in a city with a Starbucks Reserve, first of all, I’m jealous, and second of all, run don’t walk to order drinks from their expanded menu.
Reserve stores in New York City, Chicago and Seattle are celebrating fall with the new Tiramisu Latte, Pumpkin Spice Whiskey Barrel-Aged Manhattan and Pumpkin S’mores Tart. Returning menu items include the Starbucks Reserve Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew.
