4 Must-Try Low Fat Granola Recipes

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Texas chapter.

Have you ever had someone tell you that granola is fattening and you’re just wasting your time attempting to lose weight? Yeah, I don’t like hearing it either. I’m in college; do you expect me to grab caviar next time I’m at the grocery store? Do they even sell that at HEB? Let’s be honest, there are much worse things you could be putting in your body. Tell the granola haters to back off for a second because I found some delicious and low-fat (if you’re into that) recipes.

1. Chewy Granola Bars with Pecans Raisins and Chocolate

Pecans are an excellent source of Vitamin E. Research studies have suggested that pecans protect the body from diseases, cancers, and even infections. Throw in the raisins for a little extra flair. They’re also known for curing fevers and reducing blood pressure. Check out the recipe here.

2. Cherry Almond Granola
