First came S’well. Then, came the infamous Hydroflask. Then, the Stanley cup. And now, Owala has officially earned its title as top of the competition in the water bottle world. Despite receiving slight backlash due to the unique color scheme that most Owala FreeSips have, the brand truly stepped up its game this new year. Not only did they implement a new colorway during the holiday season, which includes a metallic, copper-colored bottle and a dark green bottle with tan lid – very cohesive coloring in my opinion – but they also released a tumbler-style bottle which is sure to give Stanley a run for its money. But the brand isn’t slowing down at all.
Target has another Magnolia Owala collab.
Owala is no stranger to collabs, but we have a particular soft spot when it comes to its collab with Magnolia. Last year, the water bottle brand teamed up with Hearth & Hand, the Target exclusive home brand created by Magnolia (owned by Chip & Joanna Gaines). But the two brands have a fresh collection now available.
The seasonal release includes the FreeSip in two sizes — 24 ounces and 32 ounces — and four colorways. The colors include Potter’s Wheel, a light beige bottle with a tan top, Coastal Cottage, a light blue bottle with a blueish grey top, Suppertime, a yellow gingham bottle with a white top, Picnic Perfection, a blue and gray gingham bottle with a blue and gray top, and Gone Fishing, a dark tan bottle with a peachy top. These water bottles can be purchased at exclusively Target starting at $30 on February 9 in stores or online.
Target has exclusive colors of the Owala FreeSip Tumbler.
You might remember the news from last week that Owala released a FreeSip tumbler and Sway. The new tumbler combines our favorite elements of a Stanley cup with the signature Owala features that make it so great. The true differentiation between the Owala FreeSip Tumbler and other tumbler options is its leak-proof lid that adds an element of extra security. This means that we no longer have to carry around the embarrassing memory of spilling a tumbler full of water in front of an entire class. Instead, we can securely lock it closed. Plus there’s the added bonus of triple-layer insulation to keep it cold all day long.
While you can still buy it directly on the Owala website, now, the brand is selling some in stores and online at Target starting at $45..They even have a few Target-exclusive colors. This will be available starting on February 9 as well. The new colors include Sandy Shores (tan), Tangy Tango (orange), Navy Nights (navy), Periwinkle Twinkle (lilac), Misty Meadows (green), Kickflip (pink), Sleek (white), and Very, Very Dark (black).
I think it is safe to say that Owala has drastically raised our standards for the perfect water bottle. The timeline of trending water bottles is vast and truly never ending. Though it seems like Owala already has all the answers, we can’t wait to find out what they release next to fulfill our sipping needs.
