The Dairy Queen Mint Oreo Blizzard Is Back

February may have only just begun, but Dairy Queen is already gearing up for March. While Super Bowl recipes and Valentine’s Day date ideas are all over the Internet right now, DQ is getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day with the debut of the March DQ Blizzard of the Month, nearly a month early. While competitors are focused on heart-shaped pizzas and doughnuts for Valentine’s Day and fighting for a spot at customers’ Super Bowl watch parties, Dairy Queen is onto the next: Saint Patrick’s Day. And, what better way to celebrate than making a quick stop at your local DQ for a Dairy Queen Mint Oreo Blizzard?

What is the Dairy Queen Mint Oreo Blizzard?

If you haven’t been introduced to one of the best fast food ice cream desserts, a DQ Blizzard is one of the ultimate sweet treats. It is a frozen dessert made with DQ’s homemade soft serve ice cream and different combinations of mix-ins like popular candies (TWIX, Snickers, and KitKats) and world-famous cookies (Oreo and Chips Ahoy). And, the Mint Oreo Blizzard Treat is no exception. This seasonal Blizzard is made with fresh crumbled Oreo cookie pieces, a swirl of cool mint topping, and, of course, DQ’s famous soft serve as its base. After just one bite of this thick, creamy, and sweet treat, it’s nearly  impossible not to feel the luck of the Irish.

How can I get the DQ Mint Oreo Blizzard for St. Patrick’s Day?

Beginning now and continuing through St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, Customers can order the DQ Mint Oreo Blizzard online, in store, or even for delivery at participating Dairy Queen locations.

What is the February Blizzard of the Month?

If you’re still in Valentine’s Day mode and not quite ready for St. Patrick’s Day in March, DQ still has plenty of seasonal options and limited offerings to celebrate romance before St. Patty’s. Although DQ is a touch ahead of schedule with the release of the Mint Oreo  Blizzard Treat, the fast food chain also just debuted its Cupid-approved Blizzard flavor for February, which will be available all month long — just in time for V-day.

Much to the delight of DQ fans, the fan-favorite Dairy Queen Red Velvet Cake Blizzard is the February Blizzard of the Month yet again. This limited-time Blizzard, which has been a February menu mainstay since its debut in 2014, is made with pieces of sponge-y red velvet cake, swirls of rich and creamy cream cheese icing, and, of course, the star of the show: DQ’s famous vanilla soft serve.

In addition to the return of the beloved Red Velvet Cake Blizzard, Dairy Queen customers can also look forward to the Valentine’s Day DQ Cupid Cake that is a heart shaped cake with a layer of vanilla soft serve, a layer of red velvet cake pieces and cream cheese icing, and a layer of the Red Velvet Cake Blizzard. We’ll be falling in love with both February’s Blizzard of the month, and the Mint Oreo Blizzard Treat, if we’re lucky.
