Forget football or even the halftime show, one of the best parts of Super Bowl Sunday is undeniably the game day food. While I do enjoy watching football, (especially when the Kansas City Chiefs are up against the Philadelphia Eagles for Super Bowl LIX) planning the watch party menu is arguably just as exciting. From the classic chips and dip trays to fried finger foods and the occasional themed cocktail, there’s nothing quite like a good game day spread when it comes time to host a watch party. Given that the Super Bowl is one of the most watched television specials of the year, and commercial air time retails for roughly $7 million per 30-second pop, it makes sense that plenty of fast food chains and restaurants offer special Super Bowl food deals for the big game — including Buffalo Wild Wings’ free chicken wing deal.
Does Buffalo Wild Wings have Super Bowl deals?
While most restaurants and fast food chains offer a deal over Super Bowl weekend of specifically on game day, Buffalo Wild Wings capitalizes on one particular aspect of the Super Bowl. Rather than a deal that lasts all game long, BWW’s Super Bowl offer is contingent on one little thing: the game has to continue beyond the standard four quarters and go into overtime. Just as in year’s past, the popular wing chain promises free Buffalo Wild wings six-pack for the Super Bowl, but only if the Big Game goes into OT (which, luckily, has occurred as recently as last year).
How do I get free Buffalo Wild Wings after the Super Bowl?
If the game on February 9 is tied at the end of the standard four quarters and heads into overtime, BWW fans can redeem a free six-piece of buffalo wings on Monday, February 26 between 2pm and 5pm at participating Buffalo Wild Wings locations. Fans don’t have to make any additional purchases to get free wings, and can score this deal for dine-in or take-out (so long as you head to the restaurant in-person). For boneless wings fans such as myself, you can luckily get this free Buffalo Wild Wings Super Bowl deal in either a traditional bone-in or boneless six-piece, depending on your preference.
Given how unlikely the over time contingency seems, it makes sense that Buffalo Wild Wings has taken a gamble and offered to give away free buffalo wings every Super Bowl Sunday since 2019. And, when the big game finally did go into overtime last year, BWW made good on their promise — and the chain was just as excited to offer free wings as fans were to finally cash in on the offer.
WE GOT OT!! FREE WINGS FOR AMERICA!!

(incl. 6 free wings at particip. U.S. BWW on 2/26/24 from 2-5 p.m. local. See Terms below for details.)
Here’s to hoping the Chiefs and Eagles need some extra time to finish the game for the second year in a row. I, personally, am rooting for over time (and free wings).
