Today I will be recommending popular cafes in Koreatown that every college student should try! Namely, Stagger cafe, Memory Look and About time. Stagger cafe is located at 3069 1/2 W 8th St, Los Angeles, with opening hours from 8am-4pm on weekdays and 8am-5pm on weekends! About time can be found at 3287 Wilshire Blvd B, Los Angeles and is open 8am-1am! Memory Look is located at 2881 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, and is open 8am-8:45pm daily!
Koreatown remains the hotspot for cafes, and the new opening of Stagger Cafe did not disappoint. Their most popular drink is the double matcha, with extra matcha foam and vanilla syrup. When I went with my friends last weekend, the line was long and the matcha definitely lived up to the expectation. The double matcha layer provides a rich creamy flavor that sets it apart from other typical matchas and gives a boost of energy to continue studying. Another popular drink is their donut latte, which comes with a delicious caramelized cream top. Their unique drink menu is definitely worth the visit, however, this cafe tends to be on the busier side with regular flow of customers, so it can be difficult to study if you prefer quieter atmospheres.
Another honorary mention is About Time, with hours open till 1am, it is the perfect spot for late night studying. This cafe spans two stories and has an outdoor patio with a fire heater, giving it a cozy feel. About time also has food options in addition to drinks, which were surprisingly good. My friend and I got their bacon, egg and cheese bagel and the bagel was perfectly soft and chewy!
Last but not least, I want to shout out Memory Look, a cafe you must check out if you love einspanners and cream tops. My favorite drinks here are the matcha einspanner and the vanilla latte einspanner. They both come in generous sizes too, guaranteed to fuel your study sessions. Memory Look also has a large parking lot in the back, so you don’t have to worry about finding parking. They also have a variety of food options like quesadillas, cream donuts to go with the coffee. So next time you are in Koreatown, make sure to stop by Memory Look to try their delicious drinks and fusion food menus!
