Burger King announced that the restaurant’s signature BK Melts are returning, so you have every reason in the world to be happy thanks to the franchise returning the popular menu item. According to a press release, which was branded as “the most Whopper-ful time of the year”, the return of the BK Melts serves as part of BK’s Advent Calendar. Starting on December 19, the BK Melts will return to menus nationwide and will be available while supplies last.
What’s in the Burger King Advent Calendar?
This year, Burger King is celebrating the holiday season with a limited-edition advent calendar, plus 31 Days of Deals. Burger King’s Advent Calendar has 12 unique items including merch, and the celebration includes homages to old menu items such as the Whopperito and the BK Mac n’ Cheetos. Given the nostalgic trend of the holiday deals, it seems fitting that BK Melts will be making their way back to menus just in time for the holidays.
What are the flavors of the returning BK Melts?
Burger King announced that three signature BK Melts will be returning to menus next week: the Shroom n’ Swiss, the Bacon Melt, and the Classic Melt. The Classic Melt features two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties, American cheese, caramelized onions and Stacker sauce. The Bacon Melt comes with crispy bacon, American cheese, caramelized onions, and Stacker sauce. Last but not least, the brand new Shroom n’ Swiss Melt includes Swiss cheese, roasted mushrooms, and Burger King’s signature Royal sauce.
Are Churro Fries returning to Burger King?
If the return of the BK Melts aren’t enough, Burger King also announced that they are bringing back another fan-favorite side. The BK Churro Fries, which launched in October 2024 for a few short weeks, are also rejoining menus alongside the BK Melts. This tasty menu item features pastry dough that’s lightly fried and covered in cinnamon sugar.
These fries will be available in four, eight, and 12 pieces, and range in price from ($4.69 for a 4 piece to $7.69 for a 12 piece), also beginning on Dec. 19. BK Churro Fries are arguably delicious on their own, and it’ll make for a perfect dessert after eating one of the new BK Melts.

You can get a BK Melt starting on Dec. 19 only for a limited time or while supplies last. The line-up of signature BK Melts will feature three returning favorites, each retailing for $4.99 per item. BK Melts and BK Churro Fries will be available at participating locations nationwide.
