The McDonald’s Snack Wrap Is Coming Back In 2025

A new year brings new beginnings, and 2025 is no exception — especially for McDonald’s fans. After nine long years of waiting, McDonald’s Snack Wrap lovers can finally see the light at the end of a long, dismal, wrap-less tunnel. According to an announcement from the chain on December 5, the McDonald’s Snack Wrap will be back in restaurants in 2025, although it hasn’t been announced exactly when.

McDonald’s President Joe Erlinger stopped by Good Morning America on Thursday to announce the Snack Wrap will be making its grand return in 2025, after being discontinued in 2016. This decision comes after years of petitions pushing McDonald’s to bring the beloved menu item back.

“It has a cult following,” Erlinger said on the show. “I get so many emails into my inbox about this product.”

What is the McDonald’s Snack Wrap?

Originally released in 2006, the beloved McDonald’s Snack Wrap contains breaded or grilled chicken wrapped in a tortilla with lettuce and shredded cheese, and topped with a sauce of your choice (often ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ).

Over the last decade, variations of the Snack Wrap have still been available at McDonald’s locations across the globe. Some international Snack Wraps include both BBQ and bacon and Caesar and bacon in the United Kingdom, and cajun ranch in Canada.

When will the McDonald’s Snack Wrap be back on the menu?

Erlinger said that the company is not ready to disclose the exact date the Snack Wrap will make its return “for competitive reasons.” However, the new announcement gives the die-hard Snack Wrap fans something to look forward to in the new year.

What else is coming from McDonald’s in 2025?

Erlinger also shared on Good Morning America that McDonald’s will be launching a new McValue menu on January 7, 2025. The McValue menu features existing McDonald’s meal deals, plus local and exclusive discounts and rewards.

The McValue menu will include popular deals like the current $5 meal, which features a choice of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, a four-piece chicken McNuggets, small fries and a small soft drink. This deal was launched this past summer for a limited time, and was originally extended through the end of December. However, customers can now expect to see the $5 meal deal continue into the new year as part of the McValue menu.

What items are on the McDonald’s McValue menu?

The McValue menu also will feature a new buy one, get one $1 offer on popular breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. The breakfast items included in the BOGO offer are the Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito and Hash Browns. After 11am, lunch and dinner offerings on the McValue menu will include the six-piece Chicken McNuggets, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken and small fries. We’ll have to wait and see  if the McDonald’s Snack Wrap gets added to the list come its triumphant return in 2025.

Breakfast items included are the Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito and Hash Browns, and lunch and dinner items included are six-piece Chicken McNuggets, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken and small fries.
