With the holidays fast approaching, everyone is trying to plan out what their guests will eat and drink. Of course, we’ll see hot chocolate, eggnog, and apple cider. Maybe even some cocktails or mocktails perfect for the winter season. But if your family is anything like mine, we also have to have all the sodas.
Now we’ve all heard of and tried other holiday-inspired sodas, including Starry’s Cranberry Blizz, 7UP’s Shirley Temple, Canada Dry’s Cranberry Ginger Ale, Coca-Cola’s Cinnamon Coke, and Sprite’s Winter Spiced Cranberry. However, Pepsi is bringing a first-of-its-kind flavor to our refrigerators this December.
What is the new Pepsi holiday flavor?
Pepsi is quietly releasing a warm, spicy soda perfect for the holidays. It is not cranberry, as many would have thought. It is actually an all-new Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread flavor. Pepsi hasn’t had a holiday release since 2004 when the brand debuted Pepsi Holiday Spice, which was discontinued a couple of years later. The Pepsi Holiday Spice was all nutmeg and cinnamon according to Chron.
What does Pepsi Gingerbread taste like?
The Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread is a blend of cinnamon, brown sugar, and ginger flavors. It will be released on December 4 in mini cans but not every place Pepsi is sold.
How do I buy the Pepsi Gingerbread flavor?
This special holiday flavor will only be available through the TikTok shop and a special giveaway on Pepsi’s website. While supplies last, you can get a free can of Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread when you purchase two Pepsi Minis 10-packs through TikTok starting on December 4. You can also enter to win a free can on Pepsi’s website from December 4 to the 11. I personally love gingerbread and can’t wait to get my hands on a can.
What other soda brands have released holiday flavors??
As I mentioned above, we’re all familiar with the many holiday soda flavors out there but are they worth it, and what other seasonal drinks have they released?
The Winter Spiced Cranberry was released in 2019 and has many mixed reviews on whether it is worth the hype or not. In 2021, Mountain Dew released the Gingerbread Snap’d soda, and unlike many holiday drinks to date, it didn’t tank. It’s still available today where Mountain Dew is sold. Canada Dry also released successful holiday drinks in 2021, including the Cranberry and Blackberry Ginger Ale. The Shirley Temple 7Up was just released on October 15.
