How To Throw The Spookiest ‘Beetlejuice’ Watch Party

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1988 cult classic Beetlejuice, was released on September 6. If you go to see the movie in theaters, grab your popcorn, friends, and this Beetlejuice-themed drink. However, some would argue that sitting on the couch with friends is the best way to watch a new movie. For those of you that prefer to stay at home, we put together the ultimate guide to hosting a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice watch party to celebrate the return of our favorite temperamental ghost and moody teenage girl.

Decorations

No party is complete without decorations, especially not one with a theme as elaborate as Beetlejuice. TikToker Lyndsey Mitchinson shows decorations that perfectly encapsulate the vibe of the movie while still remaining simple and easy to do. All you need is black fake cobwebs, black and white napkins, and fake hands to put on any kind to make a totally spooky scene. Feel free to add in green, black, purple, or white streamers, balloons, or any other decorations you so desire.

If you want to fully commit to the theme, check out this creepy Beetlejuice banner, practically bringing the characters to life in your own home.

Food

Before you get into the movie, make sure you have an array of snacks for your guests. Popcorn is a must for any movie, but spice it up by serving it in black and white striped containers to match Beetlejuice’s iconic outfit. Also offer up an array of chips, crackers, and small candies for your guests to munch on before you sit down and watch.

For an appetizer, try out this Beetlejuice-themed charcuterie board posted by @ashtonrhea01 on TikTok. Put together all of the normal foods on a charcuterie board and add a spooky element through an oreo snake winding through the other food. Sprinkle in some googly eyes and skulls and you have the perfect mix of sweet and savory to kick off your party. This TikTok couldn’t have executed this unique idea better.

As for the meal, TikToker Louise Ansell’s spook-ified pizza is sure to wow your guests. Take any frozen pizza and add chopped olives placed in the shape of a spider to add a Beetlejuice-esque twist to dinner.

Drinks

As for drinks, try out this Monster Mash Mimosa by The Spritz Effect on TikTok. A twist on the classic mimosa, this drink uses melon liqueur and edible glitter to create the green color and lines the rim with purple, green, black and white sprinkles. What a coincidence that it matches perfectly with the colors of the movie.
