The App That’s Changing Eugene’s Food Cart Game

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Oregon chapter.

Enjoying a meal at a food cart is a fun and unique dining experience, but hunting down the mobile restaurants can be the ultimate struggle. Trucks often change locations and keep odd hours, making the task of finding a late night taco or morning crêpe difficult at times. Thankfully, local food cart vendors have found a remedy to this annoying issue: a restaurant tracking app.

Available for iPhone and Android, Street Food Eugene is an app that makes finding open food carts a breeze. Local street food vendors post their locations, allowing customers to view up-to-the-minute schedules and a map of all food cart locations.

The app also allows users to search through lists of local food trucks and manage their favorites. Vendors can also add other information about their businesses, like menus and daily specials. There are currently twenty-seven local carts on Street Food Eugene, making it a useful tool for people of all tastes.
