This Bar in Bangkok is Hidden Inside a Photo Booth and I Want to Visit ASAP

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Rangsit chapter.

Besides having one of the most amazing food scenes in the world, Bangkok is also home to hundreds of places to get your drink on. Ranging from classic beer-only establishments to swankier joints with fancy cocktails, you’d be able to go to a different bar every night if you wanted to. One of my newest favorites is The Photo Booth, a cocktail bar that not only serves up amazing cocktails, but is also hidden inside of a photo booth.

How to find it

The first step to finding this hidden speakeasy is to make your way to Sukhumvit Soi 11 in Bangkok. Once you’ve gotten there, you then have to find Score Bar (a sports bar that operates as a  cover for The Photo Booth). From there you’ll see the photo booth (pictured above), which not only supplies you with fun photo-taking opportunities, but also access to the actual bar.

Once you’ve gotten inside of the photo booth and into the actual bar, you’ll be reminded of a James Bond film (something the bar is actually aiming for). With plush couches and golden accents, The Photo Booth might wind up being one of the nicest bars you’ve been to. If the decor doesn’t impress you though, the cocktails definitely will.

Created by expert mixologists, the drinks served at The Photo Booth are a combination of beloved classic cocktails and modern Thai recreations of them. Take the Vesper Martini, a classic take on James Bond’s “shaken not stirred” favorite, and its Thai counterpart, the Bond Loved Jasmine, as an example of their bartender’s creativity.

With its impeccable ambience as well as its amazing cocktails, I’m sure you’re going to want to put The Photo Booth on your bucket list.
