Your Guide to the Best Brussels Sprouts in Nashville

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Vandy chapter.

It seems unlikely that Brussels sprouts, a healthy leafy green, can be found on almost every menu in Nashville, as a side, an appetizer, or even in a salad. However, don’t be alarmed by their leafy quality. These sprouts are oily, decadent and absolutely delicious.

Two words: truffle oil. Yup, you heard me. Who doesn’t love truffle? Truffle fries, truffle pizza, now truffle brussels. These are absolutely too good to be true and the best that M Street has to offer.

2) Virago

Prepared with fish sauce vinaigrette and crushed chiles, Virago’s sprouts are absolutely mouth-watering. While you usually would not see brussels on an Asian menu, they complement the infamous crispy rice and spicy tuna dish perfectly.

M Street really does kill the Brussels game with their sweet and savory pancetta and green apple combination. You have to taste it to believe it. Trust me.

Nashville’s newest chicken-oriented hotspot offers perfectly crispy Brussels as a side to substitute for your tater tots or french fries. They are definitely a must-have.

Jackson’s in Hillsboro Village has a brussels sprouts dish that is perfect for the more health-conscious veggie lovers out there. These are not your typical decadent side-dish, but are a nice addition to your favorite wraps and sandwiches.
