The Best Trader Joe’s Sandwiches

If you’re like me and don’t possess any cooking skills whatsoever, Trader Joe’s is probably also your best friend. It’s every lazy cook’s paradise. Practically everything sold there just needs to be heated up in a microwave, or better yet, requires no cooking at all. But even if you are a great cook, sometimes you just need a quick meal that’s ready to eat. Maybe you work a busy job and have a short lunch or you have short breaks in between your classes, so you don’t even have time to microwave your food. Luckily, you can just walk into Trader Joe’s and pick up a filling lunch that requires no preparation whatsoever. Here are the best Trader Joe’s sandwiches — dessert options included.

The Best Savory Sandwiches

Trader Joe’s has plenty of delicious, pre-made sandwiches to choose from for a hearty lunch. Plus, they’re so cheap. The Turkey Apple Cheddar Sandwich is everything you could want in a sandwich for under $5. If you’re a fan of fresh fruit (and mayonnaise), this is the sandwich for you.

The Chicken Pesto Sandwich is another option, that’s also packed with protein and flavor. The roasted tomatoes, arugula, caramelized onions, chicken breast, and pesto sauce on Rustico bread make a practically gourmet lunch. You won’t even be able to tell it’s a $5 premade sandwich!

For The Wrap Girlies

Trader Joe’s has also got you covered if you’re more of a wrap person. The Spicy Lentil Wrap is a fan favorite because of its powerful flavor, both in the wrap and in the Tahini sauce that comes with it. The wrap itself is doughy, and the Tahini sauce adds a nutty flavor.

The Tarragon Chicken Salad wrap is another great option for an easy lunch. The chicken salad is super moist with subtle hints of lemon and licorice from the tarragon. It’s the best option if you’re looking for something refreshing and not too heavy.

The Organic Southwest Style Chicken Wrap more closely resembles a burrito in my opinion, but it’s delicious nonetheless. The chipotle ranch gives it that spicy kick, along with the bell peppers. The corn, cheese, and black beans come together to make a flavor-packed lunch.

Let’s Not Forget Dessert

And of course, what’s a meal without a sweet treat? Luckily, Trader Joe’s has no shortage of ready-made desserts. If you’re feeling fancy, Trader “Jacques” has French macarons that are perfect for snacking on after lunch. The box comes with chocolate and vanilla flavors, both filled with a rich cream in between two cookies, technically making it a sandwich.

If you want something a little more refreshing, definitely grab the Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches. Vanilla ice cream rolled in chocolate chips is sandwiched between two chewy chocolate chip cookies, making the ultimate treat. Trader Joe’s Oat Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Sandwiches are also a great alternative if you don’t eat dairy.
