Eating Your Way Through Eugene One Pizza At A Time

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Oregon chapter.

Not being 21 can sometimes be a bummer, but a PIZZA crawl is the perfect all-ages activity for family and friends who love to eat pizza and want to see more of Eugene. All six locations are a little off the beaten path from campus, but it’s a great excuse to explore “The Eug” and an even better way to spend a hungover weekend.

1. Pizza Research Institute

What it is: The #3 with goat cheese, marinated eggplant and caramelized onions
Crust:
Medium Crispy, Medium Doughy (and herbed!)
Cheese: Heavy
Sauce: Light, but lots of toppings
Grease: Light
Size: Small
Average Cost: No Slices, but a build-your-own personal pizza range from $7- $12.
Vibe: Super hip only vegetarian menu that also has vegan options, but it makes up for the lack of meat with amazing combinations. PRI also includes an in house full service bar, extensive wine list and ten micro-brews on tap. Great for a date night or a dinner with the parents.

2. Provision Market Hall

What it is: The Margarita
Crust:
Light Crisp, Heavily Doughy
Cheese: Heavy
Sauce: Light
Grease: Light
Size: Medium Large
Average Cost:$3- $4
Vibe: Past the cafe, the pastries and the ice cream, a wood fire oven churns out delicious New York style thin crust pizza at an affordable price (a small pizza is around $16 and a large is no more than $26). Pick up a fresh baguette or bouquet flowers while there and stop by the Blackboard wine bar and pop a few oysters back. Perfect on a Sunday afternoon.
