Coming to college, I knew I couldn’t live without Tajín. In fact, I brought a tiny bottle of it to school with me that stays in my closet, ready whenever I need it. For those of you who have never had Tajín, it’s a Mexican seasoning that consists of chile, lime and salt. Basically, it adds a kick and major flavor punch to pretty much anything you can think of.

If you’re unsure of how to use it, here are a few simple and healthy examples of things I love to put it on:

Mango

The contrast of sweet mango and tangy Tajín is an experience you need to have. It’s a new way to eat fruit and a delicious way, at that. Go outside of your comfort zone and look at fruit with a new perspective.

Cucumber

If you have been to Mexico before, hopefully you have had cucumber with chile. Using Tajín, you can create your own Mexican food experience here in the States.

Avocado

Now you have another reason to eat avocados (as if you needed one). Sprinkle Tajín on your avocado for a flavorful twist.

This seasoning will be unlike anything you’ve tasted, so definitely give it a try on some of your favorite fruits and veggies. The possibilities are endless. It’ll stimulate your tastebuds and make eating healthier and getting that summer bod just a little bit easier, and definitely more enjoyable.
