Skipping breakfast on game days may seem like the easiest thing to do to catch a few extra z’s, but lets be real, your stomach will probably hate you later. Just as football players stock up on protein and carbs before their game, so must tailgaters and block-goers (block being the indoor, bar version of a tailgate) prepare their bodies for the vast amounts of alcohol they are about to consume for hours on end. Of all the potential consequences of day drinking (see below), don’t let drinking on an empty stomach be one of them.

The best way to do this is by having a hardy breakfast, and if you haven’t heard of kegs and eggs before reading this, have you really ever morning drank before? Originally a St. Patrick’s Day (or Unofficial) tradition, kegs and eggs is the act of eating eggs and drinking beer. It is a genius way to make sure you get breakfast in before the heavy drinking starts, but you won’t have to start drinking later either. Of course you can stick to the classic scrambled eggs from a pan, but do football teams use the same plays every single game over and over? No. (Honestly, I really don’t know. I don’t even watch the games, but I’m assuming no.)

Be creative and impress your friends, or your crush in the house you’re paired with, by cooking up a variety of easy morning egg recipes.
