I'm just going to come out and say it—if I could have a Christmas tree up year round, I would. When everyone is getting ready for back to school season, I'm on my Pinterest looking up recipes for peppermint cookies. When Halloween is coming around the corner, I'm already playing Christmas music in my dorm.

Yes. I'm that girl. And I'm not even sorry about it.

So, imagine my delight when I went to the grocery store the other day and saw that my local Stop and Shop had already stocked up on three new seasonal flavors of Boom Chicka Pop popcorn. Cue the visions of sugarplums dancing in my head.

Boom Chicka Pop is one of my fave brands of popcorn to begin with, due in large part to their huge flavor range (seriously, try the barbecue flavor—it's life changing), so I knew these holiday flavors would be able to soften the hearts of any Grinch who isn't already in the holiday spirit.

I judged the flavors on festive appearance, taste, and (most importantly), how much each flavor brought out my inner mistlehoe. It's safe to say that I will be leaving out popcorn instead of cookies for Santa this year.

Frosted Sugar Cookie

The smell of this popcorn brought me back to my neighborhood's annual Christmas cookie decorating party, and the icing and sprinkles were a colorful, festive touch. The icing on top added an extra sweetness that you can't get from your regular brand of kettle corn

The decorations definitely made it look like a Christmas-y treat, but apart from that...That was about it. Don't get me wrong, this popcorn was super tasty, but it just didn't put me in the Christmas spirit (like these cocktail recipes would). That said, this definitely makes a great treat for all the little elves in your life for the other eleven months of the year.

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I'm much more into savory foods than sweet ones, so I was all about the sea salt sprinkled on these kernels. The dark chocolate was another tasty touch that called up visions of hot cocoa by the fireplace.

But, like the frosted sugar cookie flavor before it, I wasn't getting much of a Christmas vibe. Would I eat this flavor again? Absolutely. Does it make me want to deck the halls of my dorm faster than you can say "jingle bells"? Not exactly.

So, if you're looking for an exclusively holiday themed treat, pass on this one (or you can just pass it down the table to me...Whatever works).

White Chocolate Peppermint

Well give me a red nose and call me Rudolph, because this stuff is Christmas in a bag. I love peppermint so as soon as I opened the bag and the smell hit me, I felt ready to trim the tree. The pieces of crushed peppermint on the popcorn really brought out the holiday cheer and the creamy white chocolate gave this regular old snack food a luxe holiday touch.

My inner mistletoe was ready to devour the whole bag, but I decided to keep my spot on the Nice List and save some for my roommate.

All in all, Boom Chicka Pop is starting the holiday season out with a bang with their new Holidrizze line. So, feel free to celebrate the holidays with these treats because–even though the weather outside isn't all that frightful–this popcorn is so delightful.
