There are many genius food creations that have been invented, and these are things we probably wouldn’t even be able to imagine life without, like cronuts and Ramen burgers– seriously were we even breathing before those were conceived? However, just because there are genius creations that do exist, that doesn’t mean that every combination of foods is amazing. I’m proud to be a citizen of the place that birthed the cronut, but it’s a wonder that the country producing glorious croissant-donut combos is also producing some of these horrific mash-ups.

Oh yum. Haven’t you always wondered what would happen if you put pickles in a jar of Kool-Aid mix? Thanks for this delightful creation, Mississippi.

2. Deep Fried Butter

This couldn’t be more American if it tried. Covering foods in butter is simply not enough. Americans take unhealthy to the next level with fried butter.

Even if this was for a competition, cappuccinos and potato chips should never be mixed. Ever. Props for creativity and originality, though.

Combining foods is so in now, right? This is probably a billion and two calories. If you could gain weight from just looking at food, we probably would’ve gained ten pounds by now.

5. Chocolate Corn Dog

This corn dog may look pretty, but don’t forget that there is still a hot dog in there. How ~appetizing~.

Stop, Maine. Just stop. Only America could find a way to make ice cream disgusting.

7. Watermelon Flavored Oreos

Nothing like a fruity Oreo (not). Oreos should be chocolate and only chocolate.

8. Pizza Hut’s Hot Dog Bites Pizza

Yes, this was one hundo p an actual thing. Apparently, pizza can be ruined. Instead of a regular crust, Pizza Hut decided to line this pie with hot dogs wrapped in either a regular bread shell or a salty pretzel shell. Oh, and did we mention it’s 460 calories per slice?

9. Sonic’s Peanut Butter and Bacon Shake

A few years ago, Sonic thought it would be a brilliant idea to create a 1,720 calorie milkshake. Peanut butter, bacon and milkshakes are all amazing, but they are probably better left by themselves. Combining them is just taking it way too far.
