What time is it? Summer time! The best season of the year is upon us and I don't know about you, but I personally could not be happier. I am a summer enthusiast, which makes this season feel like the highlight of my whole year. Each summer, I create a summer bucket list.

My friends and I spend the summer ticking things off a checklist of fun activities. If you're having trouble coming up with your own, here are some things to add to your summer bucket list right now.

1. Visit a Patio

With the many patios in Toronto, there are plenty of options to choose from. A fan favourite is The Porch, but there's also other choices like Barrio on Queen Street East, The Pilot in Yorkville, and Drake Sky Yard on top of the Drake Hotel. Make it a mission to hit as many as possible.

2. Visit the High Park Zoo

I am so excited to check this one off because I love animals. It's a free zoo in the adorable High Park. What more could you want?!

3. Catch a Movie at Harbourfront Centre

The Harbourfront is such a pretty place to just walk around and take insta-worthy photos, but they also show many free movies outdoors throughout the summer.

4. Take Your Dessert to the Next Level

Although many Torontonians have already tried it, I have yet to enjoy the famous Sweet Jesus or Junked Food Co., putting them at the top of my list. Take your dessert game to the next level with these crazy ice cream creations and edible cookie dough.

5. Visit a Music Festival

My personal favourite is Wayhome, which I attended last year, and has a stellar lineup this year. If that lineup doesn't interest you, there's also Veld, Bud Light DreamsBoots & Hearts, and many more.

6. Visit a City Beach

Surprisingly, there are many cute beaches to visit throughout the city. The most well-known would be the Scarborough Bluffs, but there are plenty of others to choose from as well. Why not visit them all?

7. Visit a Poolside Bar

Cabana here I come! Cabana Pool Bar was one of my favourite spots last summer and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to lounge on some floaties in a massive pool with an alcoholic beverage. Yes please!

8. Go Cycling on Toronto Island

There is so much to do on the Toronto Island, and I can't wait to experience it all! But one big thing I'd love to try is cycling on the island, where you can take in the great views while your hair blows through the wind.

9. Go on a Road Trip

Whether you plan a legit road trip to somewhere like Montreal or Niagara Falls, or you just road trip up to a buddy's cottage, there's nothing that screams summer more than driving fast with the windows down and the best throwbacks playing.

10. Try an Escape Room

I have never done one of these so it's one of the first things I want to tick off my own bucket list. There's even a Harry Potter themed one for those who are fans.

11. Water Parks

Water parks always bring out the child in me. From the Wonderland water park, to Wet and Wild, there's plenty to choose from.

Hopefully this is enough to keep you busy for quite a while. Summer is the time to try new things (and new food) and have the best time doing it. As they say, every summer has a story.
