One of the things I love most about cooking is experimenting with all sorts of different ingredients and flavors, as more often than not, I end up with a delicious meal that I never would've had the pleasure of eating I not taken a leap of faith and challenged the boundaries of what can be made. And so here I am, sharing my new go-to udon noodle recipe that I have been able to perfect through this very same process of experimentation. While they may leave you gasping for air, these Spicy Chili Tomato Sesame Cream Udon Noodles will also leave you satisfied, satiated, and gasping for more:)

  • Step 1

Boil water in small saucepan. Place Udon Noodles in boiling water for 3-4 minutes or until fully cooked and chewy. Drain and set aside.

  • Step 2

Pour some olive oil in a nonstick pan on medium-high heat. Once the pan and oil start to get hot, add the spices (except for salt). After the mixture starts to sizzle, stir occasionally for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.

  • Step 3

Pour wet ingredients and salt into the pan. Immediately turn down the heat to a lower setting and let the sauce simmer until it starts to slightly bubble.

  • Step 4

Once sauce starts to bubble, add noodles. Make sure to toss and evenly coat all the noodles. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and stir in shredded mozzarella until cheese becomes visibly stringy and melted. Serve immediately.
