Make These No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies in 10 Minutes

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UFL chapter.

There’s nothing like homemade baked goods, but they just aren’t that practical to make in college — especially if you live in a dorm. We all need to satisfy our sweet tooth every once in a while, though, and quick and easy is the way to do it. And it’s actually possible with these no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. That’s right: no oven required.

Instructions

  1. Jamie Honowitz

Combine sugar, butter, milk, peanut butter and cocoa powder in a saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 1/2 minutes.

  2. Jamie Honowitz

Remove from heat. Slowly add oats and stir into chocolate-peanut butter mixture. Stir well.

  3. Jamie Honowitz

Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper (or a plate if, like me, you don’t have wax paper lying around).

  4. Jamie Honowitz

Allow cookies to set until they harden (usually about an hour).
