Sometimes the dining hall food gets boring. WOAH shocker! For those of us who know good food, it is a disappointing experience to live through Sodexo’s limited options. Yes, they have been getting better (love those baked sweet potatoes and eggplant!) but there is still a lot more food smick chicks want to eat. Toast with feta is the perfect combo of zesty and savory.

What you’ll need for this recipe:

1. Bread

2. Hummus

3. Feta

4. Cucumber slices and lemon (optional)

5. The nice lady who usually works the sandwich station

Assembling it:

Before you ask the sandwich lady for feta cheese, toast the bread until you reach your preferred shade of toast. Second, you want to smear some hummus on there.  I like to add a generous amount.

Idea: adding shredded cheese on top of hummus...hmmm sounds delish

Then, if you’re up for it ( I recommend it), squeeze some lemon over the hummus. The lemon will bring out some zest and compliment the cucumber if you choose to add it. Traditionally made hummus has PLENTY of zest. Lastly, add the feta. The lady at the station is nice and will put some on your plate or toast depending on what you prefer. I like tons of feta, and just like the picture below, feel free to always let your imagination roam wild. Toast to a perfect combination of zesty and savory.
