Misutgaru is a protein-packed mixture of various grains, including beans, barley, and brown rice, that is ground, roasted, and/or steamed. Often translated into “cereal powder,” its numerous health benefits make it a nutritious breakfast or snack on-the-go while keeping you full with fewer calories.

You can definitely make the powder yourself, but it’s also sold in Asian and Korean markets. Although it’s packaged in various ways, the boxed version already has the powders in individual packets to make your life easier. The powder is versatile — add it to milk, water, or even make a misutgaru smoothie by adding desired fruits (banana works well). The end result will be a sweet, nutty, and refreshing drink that will brighten up your summer.
