When I first moved to the South, Chick-fil-A quickly became a large part of my life. They catered all of my high school’s sporting events and they were always there for me after a long night of high school antics. Back then, I didn’t care as much about money but now that I’m in college I have pull back to save that money.

We are all out here ballin’ on a budget, and every once in a while we get lucky and find that five dollar bill we left in our pocket. Take that money and treat yourself to some Chick-fil-A magic. You won’t have to give up your favorite meal if you follow these guidelines.

For Breakfast

If you are going to get breakfast, you have to go for the combo. You get the biscuit, hash browns, and a drink all for under $5.

#SpoonTip: Add some buffalo sauce instead of ordering the Spicy Chicken Biscuit and save yourself 16 cents.

3 Piece Chick-n-Minis Combo: $4.65

Chick-n-Minis are the go-to breakfast item at Chick-fil-A. No one can resist the soft, pillowy roll they come nestled in. Lucky for you, three Chick-n-Minis with hash browns and a coffee are within reach using that $5 you found in between your couch cushions.

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit Combo: $4.95

The sausage, egg, and cheese is the same price as the bacon, egg, and cheese but you get more meat for your money. Their sausage patties are sizable and will satisfy even your hangriest breakfast craving. For a little sweet and salty touch, try adding some jelly to this sandwich—you will not regret it.

For Lunch

12 Piece Chick-fil-A Nuggets: $4.45

That’s right, you can get 12 pieces for under $5. It’s guaranteed you’ll be so happy about all the chicken you have in front of you that you will not even miss the sides. But if you are somehow still hungry when you get home, make your own Chick-fil-A nuggets at home.

You may be wondering why the price is so low—it’s because you can get an ice dream cone for free. Chick-fil-A challenges people who are eating together to put down their phones and focus on the people they are eating with. If you last the whole meal with your phone put away, Chick-fil-A will give you free ice cream.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich: $4.39

If you need a break from all the fried items at Chick-fil-A, the grilled chicken sandwich is the way to go. They also recently came out with grilled chicken nuggets, so you have multiple grilled options.

For Dessert:

Large Cookies and Cream Milkshake and a Chocolate Chunk Cookie: $4.34

Chick-fil-A milkshakes are reason enough to move to the South. Their chocolate milkshake is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had. Having a freshly baked cookie to go along with it (or maybe even dip in it if you are feeling naughty) is pure heaven.

Large Chocolate Milkshake and a Large Fry: $5.00

Dipping fries in a milkshake is all the rage (and always has been) because the contrast of sweet and salty makes for the best flavor combinations. Just think of drizzling your bacon in maple syrup—it’s the same thing. Once you try it, you’ll throw ketchup to the curb.

Frosted Lemonade and a Large Ice Dream Cone: $4.60

Frosted lemonade is the perfect summer treat. Don’t worry if frosted lemonade is too tart for you, the sweetness of the classic soft serve will keep you going back for more. Maybe even mix them together for a creamsicle-like concoction.
